Natural casings (sheep and hog) are made from animal intestines. They provide a traditional “snap” when bitten, excellent flavour permeability, and an authentic appearance. They are ideal for premium sausages.

Artificial casings include collagen, cellulose, and plastic types:

• Collagen is edible and offers consistent size and strength, suitable for fresh and smoked sausages.
• Cellulose casings are non‑edible, strong, and often used for fermented or dry sausages (salami, pepperoni).
• Plastic casings are non‑edible, impermeable, and used for cooked sausages, ham, and processed meats.

Our MOQ varies by casing type and size. For standard natural casings, MOQ is typically one Barrel (e.g., 100–500 hanks depending on calibre). For artificial casings, MOQ is usually one pallet or a specified number of reels. We are flexible and happy to discuss smaller trial orders for new customers.

Natural casings (sheep/hog) are packed in food‑grade plastic drums with salt, and shipped in refrigerated containers (0–4 °C) to maintain quality. Upon arrival, they should be stored refrigerated or in a cool, dry place.

Collagen, cellulose, and plastic casings are packed in moisture‑proof cartons and can be shipped at ambient temperature. Store them in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
